The Oscilloscope Museum
Picture

The collection focuses on vacuum tube oscilloscopes from 1931 to 1970. This includes many rare and technically advanced oscilloscopes of their era. Also there are associated instruments and parts. For example Cathode Ray Tubes are a typical part of early oscilloscopes.
Most oscilloscopes are in their original condition. Some oscilloscopes are restored and working as designed. These are used for demonstrations and education.

Visiting...

The collection is private but everyone interested is welcome to visit and every visitor will enjoy the VIP tour.
The museum is located in the Berkshires, Western Massachusetts, USA.

Donating...

In case you are considering helping the museum, donations are welcome. Equipment may join the collection or can be used for education / demonstrations and even part donors are very welcome. Manuals will be scanned and made available on this site.
Donation of funds will be used towards a permanent, public accessible museum.

About Me

Picture

As long as I can remember, I was fascinated with electronics. But there was no way I could afford an oscilloscope as a teenager. Finally, in the mid 80s, I was able to purchase a discarded oscilloscope from the university. This was the AEG O20, my most precious possession for a long time. Ever since, I could not pass by an oscilloscope with tubes. Most of them have simple circuits, all of them have high voltage.
Thanks for stopping by,

Volker K.

Thank You

... to all the nice people helping me in my efforts. First of all there is my "international procurement team", namely Joerg, Teresa and Ryszard. Then there are a lot of great people, donating equipment, helping with parts and documentation. I am honored to be part of a wonderful group of people where the idea and execution is the focus, not anyone's ego. Preservation of history is an investment into the future. THANKS !  Thousand Thanks to the best wife of all, Aniu.

This site is dedicated to the 3 PONzillas... Pepe, Ozi and Zola.
All of them helped a lot in the making of the collection and this website. Now they are sitting on a rainbow and watching over me.

And I even know someone who can talk to them and check how they are doing. Click here to get to Anna's animal communication site...
