Manufacturer: Allen B. DuMont (USA)
Model: Type 168, S#827
Vintage: 1945
Purpose: Wideband Oscilloscope, General Purpose
Condition: Working
Comments:
This scope bridges the gap between the 164-E and 208. Probably it was the first commercial 5in scope by DuMont. Originally the CRT is a 5MP1. It was replaced with a 5UP1. Otherwise it appears to be original. The bandwidth is only 30kHz, compared to 100kHz with the 164-E but the sensitivity is about 20 times better. This scope was intended for low frequency low voltage signals.
