Manufacturer: Allen B. DuMont (USA)
Model: Type 322-A, S#4A04
Vintage: 1952
Purpose: Wideband Dual Beam Oscilloscope, General Purpose
Condition: Working
Comments:
Here we have a rare Dual Beam Oscilloscope. The cathode ray tube has two identical guns and deflections. Of course, this requires twice the CRT circuitry and twice the complexity. Because of this, not many survived. Another disadvantage is the physical size and weight (75lbs).
DuMont was one of the first (and few) scope manufacturers offering dual beam scopes. Other companies include COSSOR (UK) and SIEMENS (Germany).
