This is an early Jackson scope, most likely before 1940.

All the parts tested out good but no power was applied. The inside has surprisingly well survived. The outside is not so well. It seems it was exposed to sun while stored.
Unfortunately I don't have any documentation about this scope.
It seems the chassis of the 523 model was also used in Jackson's model 601, the "Visuline Lab", see ad below.
