Manufacturer: PHILIPS (Berlin, Germany)
Model: GM3155B Kathograph II, S#3702
Vintage: 1943
Purpose: Military, General Purpose
Condition: Modified, Working
Comments:
The scope was restored to working condition. It is worth noting that some of the capacitor housings are under high voltage. In a couple cases the capacitors are in series to have higher voltage rating. Working on a scope like this requires to be very careful.
Apparently some Philips scopes like this one were sold and used in the US after WW2. It is likely that a lot of confiscated equipment overseas was not destroyed but rather sent to the US for being used.
The round label "PESB" on the front stands for "Philips Electro Special GmbH Berlin". Thanks for Lothar Schaefer for pointing this out.
