This kit was built by students of the United Electronics Laboratories in Louisville, Kentucky. UEL existed from the late 40s to early 70s, later being the UEI United Electronics Institute.
The tube lineup of the scope is 3RP1, 6BH11, 5965. It is still working but not very accurate or stable.
Also Heathkit offered a "301" kit with an identical front panel.
