This kit was built by students of the United Electronics Laboratories in Louisville, Kentucky. UEL existed from the late 40s to early 70s. It changed its name to UEI United Electronics Instute at some point.
The tube lineup of the scope is 902A, 5852, 884, 6SJ7 (2x) and 5Y3GT. It is still working fine and simplicity has its merits.
Note that some scopes have a 2AP1-A instead of the 902A CRT.
