Manufacturer: WATERMAN (USA)
Model: S-11-A Industrial Television PocketScope, S#4843
Vintage: 1948
Purpose: General Purpose
Condition: Original, Working
Comments:
First, it seems that Waterman kept increasing the serial numbers, across different models. Not uncommon, other manufacturers did so too. This scope is different to the "normal" S-11-A because of its front switch for Trigger continuous or sweep. This switch is not shown on the front of the manual or other units I have seen. But the engraving on the chassis and the knob appear original and done by Waterman. The location of the switch looks like an afterthought for sure. It shows how technical advances forced manufacturers to change their designs frequently. Overall this model is as solid as the S-10-A.
