Manufacturer: W.M. WELCH Scientific Corporation (USA)
Model: Demonstration Oscilloscope, S#???
Vintage: 1962
Purpose: Demonstration, Education
Condition: Original
Comments:
No serial number apparent, but there is a handwritten number 45 on the chassis. The tube lineup is...
CRT= 5CP1, 2x 6AU6, 2X2, 6CG7, 6X4
Interesting is a "Phones" output behind a cover plate at the rear. Not sure, how that would be useful. The power transformer is massive for such a simple scope.
A little bit surprising to see a 2X2 rectifier tube in such a vintage scope. Other scopes of that era used diodes already. Unless I am not correct with the vintage of this scope.
Information about the WELCH company says that in 1960, "W.M. WELCH" changed to "W.M. WELCH Scientific Company". So this scope is 1960 or younger.
