The oscilloscope is in very good condition and required just a little cleaning. The use of a 5696 thyratron is a little strange as this is a rarely used tube. May be there were large extra quantities available and the requirements for a motor tester are not very demanding.
It would be nice to have the manual for reviewing the circuitry. Should you have the manual, please share.
