Manufacturer: Unknown (USA), probably TRAD Electronics Corporation, NJ
Model: AN/USM-38, S#???
Vintage: 1956
Purpose: General Purpose, Radar Maintenance, Military Unit
Condition: Unknown
Comments:
This unit was donated by the family of Franklin D. Horrigan, who used this scope for many years until his passing in 2012.
The oscilloscope is in fine condition for its age and decades of use. The nameplate is missing, so the manufacturer can not be clearly identified. The manual states "Trad Electronics Corporation" from New Jersey as manufacturer. But military scopes were manufactured by different companies and the manual may not belong to this unit. The cover contains the schematics and accessories, like dummy loads, probes, fuses. Except of one adapter and a fuse, all the parts are there as listed in the manual.
On the scope itself, only the two handles on the front are missing. Inside, the unit is clean and all parts appear original.
